Devon is located in the South West of England, UK between the counties of Cornwall, Dorset and Somerset. There are lots of different areas you can visit on a Devon holiday.
North Devon and Exmoor play host to miles of beautiful beaches as well as fantastic moorlands which are full of wildlife. You can spend time walking on the moors or taking up activities like cycling. North Devon is the perfect place for a family holiday as you can either stay in some of the wonderful hotels or B&Bs. The more adventurous may also like to stay in a caravan or go camping on the moors.
South Devon is full of market towns as well as historic villages and hamlets and also has a similar range of beaches and sheltered coves. As far as accommodation goes South Devon has everything from self catering cottages and bed and breakfasts to country hotels and guest houses.
Exeter and Plymouth are two of the biggest towns in Devon both of which have Universities and colleges. Both of these areas are centres for business in Devon as they have a supply of academics and business minded people.
